Asthma

Out of breath
Chest hurts so bad
Coughing all the time
Not able to sleep a wink
Thinking you will die
at anytime

Inhalers you have to take
morning and night
Pills you have to take
just to open you lungs once again
Cough syrup with codene in it
you have to take just to sleep

Asthma is no fun to deal with
It can pop up at anytime
Like when you have an infection
or even the common cold
No fun I say

Author notes

I have been having trouble with my asthma off and on since May of this year. I am going to the pulmonary doctor the Wednesday to get one of those function tests. Fun, Fun!!!

asthma is a terrible enemy. i struggle to breathe, and i depend too much on my inhaler. i can understand where you come from. definitely not my kind of picnic, if you ask. hope you paid a visit to doctor and get better. thank you for sharing. =)

I have asthma also, so I can relate. I get confused about the source of the chest pain though, because I have another condition in the cartilage of my rib cage which causes pain and inflammation. Sometimes it's on the side or in the back, sometimes right in the center of my chest - I sense tightness and pain - when the asthma kicks in at the same time I sometimes think it's only the asthma.

    You're right. It's no fun.

Blah! I'm sorry, I can relate, I have asthma too. I take Qvar..a steroid inhaler. A fast acting inhaler, and advair. It really is annoying, especially in the winter, when my mom won't let me outside because of it. I hope it gets better soon!

    Good Job.
