Silence?! - Colab by: Mark G. and Wisdom Warrior (John)

You begged, pleaded, fought and screamed,
"GOD give me a voice!"
Fanned desires for "a choice" fueled from
the blood, sweat, and death of
ancestors who broke hallowed ground,
charged walls torn down
by persistence and dedication towards a cause;
peace marches marred
by life taking violence.
And now that the opposition
has lowered their guard;
ears hard against the pavement, listening...
you want to top off all their efforts with silence?!

Silence?!!

...rewarding those maimed, tortured, disfigured, and beaten for the cause
with blatant, LOUD, inaction!!

WHAT!!!

Who or what told you we've arrived?
What lies have festered in your brain
leading you to the insane conclusion
that you have nothing to do with
the future or our people, culture, or country?!
'cause if there's some mystical, magical, fact
that has been held back,
from the masses
by ALLLLL means
educate me!
'cause last time I checked
the effects of what you do affects
me, she, and them,
so tell me once again
about your "don't need to do nothin"
philosophy, Miss Lady and Big Pimpin.
Tell me of this wonderful world
where you livin'.

Silence is all i wanna hear from anybody who thinks they've made it
We got this far by faith and because so many prayed it
Ain't none of us 'made it' until we all make it
So when it comes to freedom, justice, and equality, we're all naked
And I can never be silent about that
White supremacy is at the root of all that
And that gave birth to black inferiority
Got us seeing ourselves as some kinda' minority
Hell, we outnumber whites 11 to 1 on this planet
Trust me, Black unity ain't sumthin' whites take for granted
They work night and day to keep us divided
Hopin' we'll never awaken from this silence to fight it
I can't sit silent and act like I've made it
'Cuz the road I walk on,........ the ancestors paved it!
The freedoms I have....somebody fought like hell for
It's what some gave their lives and went to jail for
So I give 'nuff respect to those who built the foundation
Otherwise our behinds would still be on plantations!
Now the next step is a move towards self-reliance
And on that
I PRAY I NEVER HEAR SILENCE

Please tell me what you think

Now let us (smart people) unite

The U.S.A. woke up. It took revulsion and revolt against a mental retard, George W. Bush, to elect a brilliant mind, Barack Obama, for this country's President.

I hear you!!! Loud and clear and by no means are you silent with this piece. I don't think anyone who you are speaking will be silent tomorrow. I think we all will be heard loud and clear. I think this has already begun with all the early turnouts, its going to be loud and boisterous and joyful and anything but silent..I believe it and so should you!!!

    POWERFULLY TRUE!

Where are the voices? I hear one loud and clear. Don't want to get; ‘all political’ but we have reason to shout these days and we damn well better let our thoughts be heard!

As always John, you hold no punches and scream reality. This is one I would love to hear spoken. I know your voice and can't wait to hear this from the voice-box of liberty!

    Amen & Amen!

Me thinks people are afraid to read and comment on your loud and clear voice. LOL

    Always ♥
