Snapdragons in the month of June
Opening from bottom to top
Faintly fragrant flowers
Seven or eight blossoms a stem
The dwarf type of blossom my friend
Grows about ten inches in height
The taller types grow between
Eightteen and twenty inches,
Snapdragons are very colorful
In colors so very bright
Pick an armful for someone
To enjoy all through the day
How lovely are the flowers
That bloom in Spring and Summer
Their very lovely petals
Give us a fragrance sweet

Nice literal take on the prompt. Would have preferred more metaphor, but this was nicely written. Thank you.

Katie -- what a beautiful and descriptive take on the prompt, my friend. You have a knack for capturing the simple and beautiful things in life, the things that are so greatly under-cherished and undervalued.
Good luck in this contest, my friend.

Thank you Zach. I learned at an early age about flowers, even though I could never grow any. My Mother always had a beautiful flower garden. In fact she had several. There were flowers all along the house and driveway plus several flower beds in our yard.
