  "I'll be there for you, as the world falls down"

what does it mean
  when I literally forget what I'm doing when she walks into a room?
  when I get butterflies every time I see her, even if she's halfway down a crowded hallway, not looking at me?
  that I shiver every time her hand brushes mine?
  that making her laugh puts me on a high for the rest of the day?

  passing crumpled paper notes every day in first period when we should be conjugating Italian verbs,
covered in blue ballpoint pen and it's written all over my face that I love her.

  if I'm only fooling myself then please let me stay stupid,
if I'm wasting my time, get rid of the clock,
 
if only dreams were less fragile

Author notes

Once again about the same girl. Are you surprised?

Every time I think of her, a line from that Rod Stewart song comes into my head - "I didn't know what day it was when you walked into the room..." You know that feeling? I literally forget what I'm doing, stop talking, stop listening, when she walks into a room. And it's so pathetic, because usually the best we can do is a quick 'hey' between classes. I'm ready to like, fall on my knees and quote whole acts of Romeo and Juliet if only it would make her understand. It's frustrating, but I forget all that when she smiles at me...

"See how she leans her cheek upon her hand; Oh, that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek...."

    third stanza on is brilliance. especially the third stanza, something very believable, and real about it. hurts.

    "if only dreams were less fragile"

    such beautiful and universal sentiment

    I really like this && David Bowie=amazing
    The emotions in this are so vivid and real. I know that feeling that you get about someone. This is a really sweet poem and I love the way you wrote it.
