Top Ten

The top ten things I love about my three-year-old son.

1. His cute little mispronunciations, such as saying "wook" instead of "look".

2. The fact that he puts his clothes on backwards, it puts laughter into even my roughest days.

3. The way he looks when he's sleeping, like an angel resting before my eyes.

4. When he wakes me up in the morning. It's better than the morning sun shining in on your pillow.

5. His laughter that fills up the room, it's the sweetest lullaby.

6. The way his face looks when he knows he's done something wrong. It's like an automatic apology.

7. The way he tries to do big boy chores and helps around the house.

8. The fact that he enjoys his time with me as we wrestle and play with matchbox cars.

9. The way he caresses my face and combs his fingers through my hair when he knows that I'm not feeling well.

10. When he looks at me with his beautiful brown eyes and tells me that he loves me. It's as if he's showing me a piece of heaven.
