Neon lights flash
And all I see around me
Are the shadows of the others
The lost
We don't know who we really are
Lost in this perpetual dance
Forgetting the connection
We all share
I step out of beat from the rest
And suddenly everything has changed
I can see passed the colorful masks
To the pain
The tears streaming down their faces
The longing burning in their eyes
The acceptance they can never see
Me
The lights are still flashing
And they're all still dancing
I just can't do it anymore
No
Until we let our guard down and know
That we hurt much deeper than the surface
We'll be lost in a physical dance
Never more
I don't see bodies dancing anymore
I see us as we truly are
As different colors of that wonderful light
The rainbow
