It was news
I never wanted to read
an ill-fated email about a month ago.
To this day, it has mainly been
spoken with silence,
only tears mounting in my eyes
and burning pain felt deep
within my stomach from
the thoughts of losing a friend.
A friend indeed and now,
you'll share your smile eternally deep
within our memories,
which you graced upon us
with your contagious charm!
Some of us we want to avoid,
with you we just wanted to
share a glimpse, a moment-
a reason to go away happily.
Thank you my friend
and if there is a Heaven,
I know you're in a special section,
sharing smiles, producing laughs
showing humility and kindness to everyone.

while reading this it made me think of my friend that I lost about 2 years ago... So I totally understand what you are going through and have been through... it took me a year to write a piece about my friend as well.

This is a beautifully written, heartfelt tribute for your friend. It isnt easy to write about losing someone who had such an impact on your life but you have done it nicely.
