Confessions

I have tasted heaven
With your lips as my gateway
Your touch as my guidance
I could write volumes upon volumes
Yet I’ll fail to capture the magic of you
The sheer haven of your arms
So warm and serene
Engulfed by your radiance
Your ability to inspire my core being
So dormant and bleak
With that dashing boyish charm
Your sweet innocence
Untainted by the cruelty of the world
So awe-inspiring!
I was swept away
Far beyond logic or reason
For once, I only followed the serenade of my heart
Danced to the erotic beat of lust
Lust? Was it lust?
It may be so, but my heart whispers another message
So faint and incoherent
Unable to cross the leagues of denial
And now it’s to be silenced
Returning to its former state of morbidity
Yet one conviction is forever engraved
I have never regretted anything
Yet I regret you

Wow, the loving description at the beginning is so magnetic and appealing, the intense abandon yet the sweetness of love, and then the twist at the end, very abrupt. Well done. Best of luck.
