The end of the bar I sit
Dark glasses, hat lowered and a cigarette hanging loose from my lip
Smoke rises slowly adding to the pugent air
Barkeep, whiskey here and make it a double. It's been a long night.
The whiskey is served and he lingers awaiting my tale
I smile as he awaits and sip my drink
I killed tonight, ripped that pretty little thing limb from limb
I laugh as he listens
She was nothing but a thrill
Just a body for me to cut
A little spilt blood to wet my appetites
But who will miss her?
No one thats who, nothing but a prostitute
Society's lowest, and the most perfect for those like me
I clean up the streets and I enjoy myself
But its the blood
Now that just makes it all worth while
I followed her night after night
Taking in all her traits
Observing what makes her different from the rest of the pack
I chose her because she knew I was there
Every now and again she would look towards the shadows where I hid
She knew she was being followed
I raise my glass and gaze at the dark liquid
It is so much better than this, warm and thick
I run my tongue over my lips just thinking about the blood
It was when she started home this night when I struck
Taking her deep in the ally covering her mouth
Clamping my hand over her throat
I pushed her up against the wall pinning her
While she watched I remove my glasses and let her gaze into my eyes
Her own, blue as the sky I once knew, widen and tears strem
But its the silence that facinates me
The scream that never comes as she is trapped in my gaze
Its wonderful
I bite deep into her and let that wonderful crimson flow
Enjoy the sweetness and take my knife to her skin
But once that is over I feel as though I need more
I flee into the night and find another to stalk
Just until the time is right
I'll show her a good time
A chuckle comes forth from my belly
It gets better and better
Every time
Well barkeep I believe I shall be on my way
I down the drink, toss some bills on the bar and make my way to the door
Perhaps I will see you again I told him turning back
I tipped my hat and lowered my glasses just enough for him to see
The look of terror upon his face as I walked away brought a grin to my face
And a laugh from my belly

Holy heck that gave me a shiver!!! I love the way you incorporated all the little nuances of sitting at the bar and interacting with the barkeep as you told the wicked tale!!

It works very well! I love the story you told, dark and compelling from start to finish. Love the raw imagery portrayed, wicked write! Thanks for entering and good luck
