did you see the northern lights?

her hand gesturing across a textured sky,

she spills color with water paint
emerald and violet melted into yellow

       outlines the particulars of night

       with a thin, black sharpie

Some great images and a nice, tight, poem. The second stanza is my favorite, but I thought the whole thing was very strong. I will read more of your work.

Touched beyond words hon. You know it is approaching the time of year when I get to see those northern lights again~ most of the time they are a beautifully muted emerald-green, they're so haunting to look at.
If I did use a sharpie I'd make a mess out of the moon, you know? Mustache; glasses... Thanks again
    hon.
