She liked to kill
To watch and enjoy as they took their last breaths
She liked to paint
The screams of her victims' faces forever captured on the canvas
She liked to learn
To know her victims' darkest fears; to study how best to make them scream.
He liked to love
A born poet with a silver tongue, his words danced with music
He liked to dream
To live in a world of beauty he created from his hopes; his soul
He liked to play
To tantalize his women with the pictures of heaven he painted in his words
She wanted to taint
She picked him for his purity; longing to- needing to destroy it.
She wanted to torture
To rob him of his disillusions, to dash his hopes upon the rocks of reality.
She wanted to know
To find out what made him tick, to pull apart the pieces and find the reason
He wanted to see
To try to find what about it made it impossible for her to stop
He wanted to posses
To claim her as his own; to show her the true depth of his desire.
He wanted to cure
To show her there was another way. To prove to her life needn't be purposeless.
She never wanted anyone
She enjoyed her life, but he offered something more she couldn't find
She never wanted changed
But his words found her, cleared away the cobwebs and showed her the sun
She never wanted claimed
But with an angel's face and silvery words he stirred the dust in forgotten corners of her mind
He never wanted another
His previous heartbreaks had taught him the folly of falling again
He never wanted trouble
But the package it came in was so alluring; Pandora's box couldn't have tempted more.
He never wanted corrupted
But her particular brand of poison set him afire; crafted fantasies he would love to make real
They liked to dance
With silent music and a dance from the soul, they danced divinely
They wanted to know
To satisfy the burning questions each created for the other
They never wanted love
But in some form or another it found them, and forged bonds they could never break
