What’s left
when pictures have faded
or eyes grown too dim to see?
Shining gems of time
we shared,
memories.

Memories can be gems, though they can either precious or imitation. I have memories I cherish, but also those I wish I could bury where I could never find them.

But it's a lovely poem that gives value to memories and a meaning to the past. -
what a romantic way to express recollections of special moments in life that still burn deep within the heart.
