You taught me a lot about the world
You told me truths no one else unfurled
You were by my side when I had cried
You were not only my friend but my guide.
I looked for you in class that year
But in the list your name did not appear
I wondered then where you had gone
Then I realized that clues I had none.
I only found where you had gone to
Six years when our friend told me about you
You left me no word, thought we're best friends too
But I guess that feeling's only my view.
But I'm letting my sadness leave with these lines
Maybe sometimes my heart for you still pines
But all is well, I wonder how you are
And I still care for you, wherever you are.
