A Sacrifice For You

Rotting symbols fill my heart
As slowly our eyes turn cold
You're the end of me
For you're a different species
And you look at me with disgust
Can I ever win this fight?
For you use fire against my heart
And remove my breath with but a stare
Leave me alone my friend
I've had enough of your games
My heart is rotting quicker now
And the darkness is being absorbed
I want to live and be free
But you're locking me out
Whilst locking me in this cage
Don't paint this black around my eyes
I've begged you so many times
My soul is dying whilst I go blind
This pain is reaching deeper
Hear me scream and slowly fall silent
As I cry through the clearest nights
Fading away as my body turns to crystal water
You sacrificed me to save you
Friends even through your torturing ways
As you chained me and whipped me
And laughed at my misfortunes
Your eyes so full of nothing
Now holding the remnants of my soul
You cannot fight this force
Eventually you'll burn up
But your species is known for trying to kill
And you have succeeded, my dearest friend
