Smiles Just For You

Tell me why you need some cheering
A girl as lovely as you
Even in your blue kimono
You present a beautiful view

Your  eyes are so lovely
I know your smile is too
There are roses in your cheeks
I can't see your lips, but I know they will do

So wear a smile every day
Think of nice words to share with friends
Happiness lies closer than you think
It's there just around the bend

So smile, smile, smile, my dear
Life holds everything bright and new
It's there my dear just reach out
And take life it's there for you

    Exactly as Whiterabbit herself said, I think this is the first poem I've read that actually was UPLIFTING and CHEERY!

    Particularly liked that final stanza;
    "So smile, smile, smile, my dear
    Life holds everything bright and new
    It's there my dear just reach out
    And take life it's there for you"

    The last two lines are very powerful; great write, and best wishes in the contest
