The flowers bloomed,
Up the side of the hill.
It was as if they came over night.
Only first came the leaves so green.
Then the colors came so very bright.
This was the welcome to my day,
For each new day a color came.
It's a pleasure yet to see
Now the bird bath is at it's peek.
As all of the birds do share.
The pond looks like a castle's moat.
With all of the trees frogs there.
The little treasures here and there.
Like the land a long, long time ago.
All is kept by a blue-jay I know.
I remember April, finally the trees turned green.
It would be forever, I thought.
Too soon the green goes, before I can enjoy it all.
Time moves to fast, as I hurry to put away the screens.
For it won't be long the wind blows,
and the you know what flies.

Interesting take on hte poem; it was well written, well constructed, i will admit didn't cheer me up, but everyone is different - and i do not mean that opinion as a reflection of your writing, more personal opinion.
Couple notes, you left out the 'a' at the end of Santa, and in the first verse, spelt the word 'over' as 'pver' by accident. Other than that, best wishes in the contest
