Ten years from now I know my life will be great:
The alarm rings at a quarter to 7, urging me to get ready
But it's not like in college or high school,
I'm happy to get up, excited for the day before me
I ready myself as quickly as possible,
Not wanting to delay-
And by 7:30 I'm on my way
Work is such a blessing, I thank the lord every day
Every child in the office love to have me as their nurse
"Nuwse Bwitney- will yew be my nuwse today?"
Little Alan, a diabetic, is back for another treatment..
That little angel, I kiss him on the head
"I'll see what I can do darling," and continue on my way
Lunch time comes around and my beautiful husband takes me out to lunch
I love him so much, I couldn't see myself without him.
The day passes so quickly, soon it's time to go home
But before that can happen I have to stop at my friends
"Aunty Britty!" My neice Toby yells when I walk in the front door,
Hugging her she smiles and guides me to her mom and dad.
My best friend since kindergarten gives me a quick hug, and Tim- he hugs me real quick too, we're exactly like family.
An invite for an adults night out, it sounds fun,
Driving home is such a quick trip- it takes 30 minutes or less
His face lights up as I walk in through the door,
He offers to rub my feet but I decline,
I'm going to jump in the shower before its time to go out...
And then my eyes open, but the smile stays on my face.
I just can't wait to grow up and live out my wonderful dream.
Author notes
Okay so in my COM101 class my professor asked us to close our eyes and imagine what our life would be like in ten years, so this poem is based on what I saw.

A little long?
It was beautiful!
I hope, so much, that you will live this dream.
As I believe you will.
While I was reading this It sounded just like a memory.
Glimpses of moments,
the best yet to come.
I absolutely loved it!
I can only wonder what other trinkets of writing are brewing in your mind's spare time.
Lots of Luck,
~*SL*~
