It's raining lust and cotton candy!

Running through the park
Rain follows us
But we don't care about anything
Except catching each other...

It's been so long since we've acted like this
Little kids, without a care,
It's fun to eat cotton candy,
and roll around in the mud...

The rain slows to a mist,
Clouds and Fog blow in
But the moon shines through
Illuminating our love

And in the morning when we awake
Still covered in cotton candy,
Made more sticky by the rain,
You quite simply say:

"this cotton candy covered day,
brought us everything but clean"

Author notes

My prompt for this poem was-"this cotton candy covered day
left us all but clean" which was a quote written by: written-in-ink

[[I didn't know if we were required to use the quote in the poem, so I did... I hope u don't mind that I changed two words, but it fit my poem better that way.]]
