REST IN PEACE

I remember the joy you brought to your grandparents’ life,
They’re waiting for you in heaven, just follow the light.
We’ll miss the way you laughed and your precious smile.
The short life that you lived was truly worthwhile.

So many came to see you, while you laid there in pain,
They prayed for your recovery, but that was in vain.
God saw that a cure was not to be,
So He whispered to you, “Come follow me.”

I guess He needs another Angel by his side,
So He took you to Him, we’ll never know why.
Our hearts are broken and in much pain,
Our tears are falling like April’s rain.

We stood by your side as you passed away,
We tried everything to make you stay.
You were loved by your family and friends,
They stood by your side ‘til the very end.

We’ll never forget how you made everyone feel,
Your caring and loving ways were truly real.
In our hearts we know that you are the best.
Now go in peace, Melanie, it’s time to rest.
