The Faith To See Us Through

The world is changing about us,
did you hear the whispers of the elderly today.
How through our countries leaders greed,
we shall all have to pay.

I listen to their talks and views,
and know it all depends on what we do.
Will we join hands and help one another today,
or fight amongst each other in a destructive display.

People will lose their jobs and homes,
and so many feels they have no place to go and all alone.
We must take them in and work as one,
for to heel in this country we are the ones.

Our leaders have shown us they care not of our plight,
for they are even today piling on the ear marks and pork this night.
As the people looks on then tell me what will it take,
to clean up our country from their destructive mistakes.

I say put the complete bill up for all of us to read,
and let the public decide what is to stay and go you see.
For I think if they think its alright for us to go broke,
then the ones so greedy should stand beside us now homeless you know.

Our country has been sold off for years to outsiders don't you see,
They wheel and deal with our money and our land indeed .
Not one person from this country was asked what we think,  
and thats why our whole country has become broke indeed.

If any one of us workers in this country frauded our government this way,
we would be put underneath the prison without a say .
So just because you have money you better think again,
for the law is the law and your ways have come to an end.

Now if you lie to us as you have always done,
If you think you can pull the wool over our eyes your wrong.
For its time to clean house and get all new workers for our country indeed,
Leave not one behind who caused this through greed..

Listen closely to what they say,
It went from three pages to over 200 today.
Wake up America and stand for your country I say,
demand wall street and the head haunchos to empty their pockets there will be no debate.

I know the young people are watching and just can not believe,
The ones who has gone to college has done this to me.
Whats left today and they say its a must do plan,
yet its left so many without a place to live or stand.

You want to get our country back,
then make sure you go to school and get on track.
Learn all you can and bring honesty back today,
you be the one to show this country the way.
