Serenity, winter seas,
deep blue, with a hint of bitterness,
cold and dark,
yet i smile for you,
in this winter sun.
As each wave collides with the shore,
crashes into my mind,
my heart pounds,
as she draws away, i sigh,
she carries away my guilt and pain.
What is left,
lying wrecked on the pebbles,
with renewed strength and courage,
i think of you once more,
and again i smile.
Author notes
I hope this is what you're looking for. I know it contains elements of sadness but the idea behind it is sitting by the sea thinking things over, allowing bad feelings to be washed away. Something which always cheers me up.

I really like this and the thoughts behind it. The imagery is really beautiful and calming. Great write. Thanks for entering.

The elements of sadness which you mentioned rang out more strongly for me here than the uplifting side, it was more bittersweet - but in such a beautifully painted way that I couldn't help but enjoy it. Also because I am used to living by the sea [grew up by it] and thus associate it with home, with life, with happiness ... this was exquisitly done
