floating up into the sky
I meet the clouds thick and wet
waving to all my friends goodbye
for the adventure I've not had yet
I've met the clouds thick and wet
sipping the vapor to quench my thirst
I've not had my adventure yet
and did not think to fear the worst
as I sip the vapor to quench my thirst
a strange taste coats my tongue
I did not think to fear the worst
but sickness on me quickly sprung
this strange taste that coats my tongue
did not scare me at first, but then
a sickness on me quickly sprung
and choked with the strength of twenty men
it did not scare me at first, but then
I thought I had caught something viral
it choked with the strength of twenty men
and through the air I began to spiral
I must have caught something viral
smog hung in the air as a cloud
then through the air I began to spiral
did I make the factory workers proud?

It did not scare me at first...!
you are quite right, it did not scare anybody at first...but the fact remains that the big shots have known about the dangers all the time, but for the sake of the allmighty buck, kept thier mouths shut...it did not scare them either cuz they were too busy making money...even now, that it has started to really screw up the world, they pretend it doesn't exist...I hope they are the first ones to choke on it
Well done Kassie, I like your poem

What a wonderful concept you have composed. The abab rhyme scheme adds dept to this verse. All in all it is very well done.
