You know I know this is killing me,
you know I know more than you;
but we will be how we need to be,
and you know I need to be true.
The truth is a lie in insanity,
and love is a lie never told;
save me from this calamity,
step up for once and be bold.
I'm waiting for once to be known again
to know what it is to be known;
it happens once every now and then
when mercy grants love to be shown.
But you know I know this is killing me,
you know you love such a view;
and we are all as we have to be,
my God, what has happened to you?
The truth is a lie in insanity,
in vanity we try to hold,
in the end our love is just vanity,
and we end up just getting old.
I'm waiting for once to be known again,
to know what it is to be known;
it heppens once every now and then
when someone surrenders their throne.
You know I know this is killing me,
I'd rather be dead than alive;
if love has run far away from me
I don't think I want to survive.
