Gentle Autumn Breeze

Missing image
Buffeting a fluttering leaf,
Shed by a tree as if in grief.
The cool, gentle, refreshing breeze
Fragrantly scented by moist trees,
Reminding us that winter's near.
Another leaf, summer's last tear.

    Bravo...

I love this one, my favorite line would have to be the last one. Fantastic job and nice use of vocabulary on this one...

Wonderful imagery in these lines 'Shed by a tree in grief' would have to be my favourite. The whole poem flows so seamlessly and your rhyme I hardly noticed, it was so good!
Thank you for entering my first contest.

Thank you very much dear. I know you love the summer. And to you autumn is the end of warmth and the onset of the cold. I am trying to pull out of my dark writings. They put me in a funk.
