as if the cracking of bones
didn't remind me of running,
like lightning cast from heaven
being incendiary
leaving a pile of ashes
to reverse evolution-
i'd fall back
into a Precambrian collection of cells,
swimming through railways,
inhaling the scent of beggars
to reinvent the motion of my mouth,
the grinding of my teeth
and the sweat on my brow

with punctures guiding me
to separate
like vents navigate trace amounts of dust onto enigma-
believing a wrinkle describes the expellment of skin,
as flung blood conveys my deference
like the mortars coat a faceless sky,
an inclination that denounces all that i am,
constructing new limbs to cradle-
for infants never seek assurance
similar to enraptured celestials
ever constant
like the facade of a smiling moon

the idea of reverse evolution and all associated images are really beautiful and clever. but the ending to this was the best part. like jp said, delish

    wow.
you're poems are like a journey. Like your body turns invisible or into light and you speed around the world through cracks and through wind.

"to reinvent the motion of my mouth,"

AHH omg my favorite part how absolutely fabulous.
How do i feel when i read this umm..
its just changing. its like a poem about erosion lol.

the ending is fantastic. & so confusing.

    "similar to enraptured celestials
    ever constant
like the facade of a smiling moonÈ

    whaaaat
    wow.

    i am in utter awe.
although im not sure HOW to explain the emotion behind this i sure as hell can feel it. the first lines were by far my favorite and i do believe the image was crystal clear, to me that is. as for the authors notes... i agree. they never do.
