Autumn's Wonder

I love to watch

the leaves
falling from

the trees.
All the magnificent

colors

dancing

towards earth.

I wrap my

favorite sweater

around me

and i become

entangled

in it's warmth.

My dad is calling.

I set down my

sweet apple cider

on a pumpkin coaster

with a clink.

As i head outdoors

i can smell a bonfire.

The crisp autumn air

sends shivers through me

but I don't mind.

Me and my brothers

rake huge piles of leaves.

We leap into them.

I watch as the leaves

surround us

I can hear their praise

for this season.

I join in,

Laughing

and spreading the cheer

of a late Autumn's eve.

Author notes

this poem is option five. I'm combining option three and four.
