The going gets hard.
Relationships end harshly,
Or people move away.
At some point in life,
A loved one passes on.
Life gets difficult,
But you have to remember...
There are people who love you
And need you here.
Most of them would miss you.
So just remember this...
When the going gets rough,
You can return to that place.
That place may be comforting
And maybe even peaceful.
This place I speak of
Was where you were born.
Family may still be there,
As well was many friends.
So when times get critical,
Just return home.
Think of the day you were born.
You made your family smile.
Author notes
I don't really like this one. The ending is weird, but I have no idea what else to write!!
Thanks for the prompt! Oh, sorry about the font, I couldn't find one that would work with this background.
Prompt: Sometimes we are just drawn home, at certain times in our lives. This is one time for me, and I get to have two days with family and friends. It is an irresistable urge, to return once more to our birthplace.
