Like a scientist with a thirst for something better,
a pretty prize sitting on the only dusted shelf in his labratory,
I have a theory about you and I.
There's something in those eyes, a drug perhaps
that eats straight through to my heart
and I can feel my beat steadily incline
to numbers I can't count to anymore.
When you brush by my naked skin,
my senses shoot red lines off charts I drew
to show the way you affect me.
And you don't even know the level of horripilation you induce.
As if you don't have me under your anesthesia already,
you speak to me and the world keeps spinning round and round
I'm surprised I haven't fallen at your feet yet.
So I know the evidence falls short of a conclusive story,
and it's hard to judge the outcome of this hypothetical romance,
but baby, have you ever heard of taking chances,
of tossing all your doubts into the wind?
Because I feel like experimenting, and yes, sometimes it fails,
but I sense something different about you.
