OBAMA won the Presidency 338 electorial votes to 159. could be more by now, 4 to 5 other states had not submitted final tally reports as of noon November 5th. But still, OBAMA ! Great write.

turn out to be a very well tailored suit that fits a bit here and there. I very much hope I am wrong on all counts cos I remember the civil rights days in the 60s. I feel seriously anxious as in 63 and 68 with the Kennedys. Sorry xx my hopes are all pinned on the suit scenario. xx

The Dems whinnied and nayed when George Bush spent $400 billion. Now, in his first hundred days Obama has spent about ten times that much. Sarah Palin had an 80% approval rating by her Alaskan constituents for cleaning up corruption in both parties. Obama has no such record. Forget the fact that she can shoot (my aunts taught me how to shoot!) She knows how to balance a budget and is a believer in the Reagan principle of getting government out of the way of the individual, whereas Obama is like a spider wrapping the (collective) individuals in turn after turn of governmental silk until finally they're hopelessly immobilized. He will not be remembered fondly by advocates of freedom.

not been giving AP my best shot or any shot at all. If I had a vote I'd vote for you. All you can ever promise is to take shit as it comes along. Any other sort of promise is hollow. If I could just care a bit more about the US election I'd be okay. But it seems to me that the people in charge of the world are utterly fucking crazy. I've lost hope mostly. BUT I do trust Gordon Brown only because he is such a serious bloke with a will to be fair. He's rather old Labour really. We've all been very stupid with our money - time to eat humble pie and start saving little bits of string. That's what my gran did in the 40s. She lived through the blitz and all the shortages after the second world war. I wish the world would save bits of string and live on potatoes and turnips. Then we would have the upper hand wouldn't we nan?

Darling we are no better politically speaking. Though I feel sorry for Gordon Brown. He has wanted this high office for so long and now all he gets is stick stick stick. Ah well, heat/kitchen/get/out/etc. Think if you lot over the big pond in usa needed a woman you should have chosen a good bloke like Hilary!! Trouble is with them there politicians, you can only vote for the ones that stand. That's the major fault in the system as I see it!! Lovely to hear from you. I've been working rather too hard and have been in bed by 8.30 pm some nights. It's 10.20 pm here and I'm heading off up the apples and pears (cockney rhyming slang for stairs!) to bed.
