narcissism caused this,
as she stares up at white
a blithering blanket and blinking,
gasping for breath
trying to move, and she's solidity
frozen into a place she designed
after all, not much has changed
since life has been a cage of disease
14-karat curling strands
cascade all across a tiled floor
she cant see
simply because she wont.

Short but with a powerful ending. Not too abstract but a good write.
