Silence between two thoughts

silence separates two thoughts
a link in succession
chains strength is but its weakest link
silence born of pretext
germinates whole field of weeds
thoughts that fall on flimsiest
changing chameleon ways
floating without purpose

"underneath thoughts
in between thoughts
in between words
is the canvas on which
the whole phenomenal existence
is painted"

when we find the stillness, we find freedom
we need to to open the space between thought, expand it.
words to describe are quite hard to find, it is a feeling, no purpose
    well done my friend
    God bless you...

the image I get about silence is one of space : it seems to separate yet unites two cups, it dwells within them and around them, and even penetrates them ... only for the viewer separation seems real, for the space itself, it is a ghost-story ...
thank you for your colorful exploration of silence between (and within) thoughts ...

This reminds me of my meditation experience; I sit and focus, but I am easily distracted. Then again, when I find silence, I have no idea how long it persists.
I am far from perfect, too. Good poem, good luck!
