I wonder under thinking cap
why I should think this
or I should do that,
is there only one answer
if any at all, who should say?
aged curses only go so far
if it is your turn
who ‘s left with the scar,
the vine of approval
is hanging on a yesterday.
spit out the seed as it may choke
so if someone is wrong
a finger will poke
from the warm hand of Christ
we could all leave this way.
scared most of the time, and again
earth’s stolen mallet
hammers till I am crushed
no longer a darwinian fool,
a long and dreary turn around
where the ghost of me refused to die.

You play with a lot of different ideas in this poem and the result is something that is abstract and sophisticated. I loved the last line:
where the ghost of me refused to die.
Suggesting that it is difficult to let go and also linking nicely to the picture. The imagery is well-chosen and adds to the poem too. Over all an intriguing poem that repays attention.
