Strenuous whispers, silence the hidden
Tears rumble through the uncaring night
Blood flows in the silent realm of hope
Death lost in darkness, found by light.
The sinister grip of trust, never lets go
Freezing the heart by truthful lies
No sense in growing in reflective water
For anything that is the same, surely dies.
Are they the ignorant, hopeful souls?
Devoured by the river that runs red
Drowned by the pure essence of life
Killed by peace, blissfully bled.
Where are the innocent? Crying for the past?
What happened to hearts? Drowned in song?
Sorrowful peace, pounding at the door
Begging for love, yearning to belong.

I'm not good at explaining things but if you want to know what this means (if you haven't figured it out) just read the title. It explains it better than I can ^_^
There's sense in this poem, you just have to think the right way to see it.

I like this. especially the second stanza. it was very well written and I liked all the imagery you used in this piece. the ending was also very strong. however I'm not that fond of rhyme, but yours wasn't forced and it sounded okay.
