A steady diet of self-doubt
only sates hunger for so long
till it consumes from inside out
the pabulum that kept you strong.
Now you question what's right and wrong
and ask to which you'll acquiesce -
submit to the three siren's song
or join the choir of the blessed?

This poem poses an interesting question. At what point do we pick ourselves up and get on with it? I enjoyed the rhymes chosen and the thoughtful way you responded to the contest prompt. Thank you for your entry. Peace, Liz
