Among those who’ve gone green.
Their Nature’s an illusion.
Their pretentions are obscene.
Neophytes in delusion;
For tax payers a smoke screen
Hides conspired collusion.
Author notes
I have spent my whole life living in and around the woods. I enjoy all the benefits of nature. I strongly resent the green crowd telling me how to think about nature, especially when they cannot tell a Pine from a Balsam Fir. It is interesting to see the source of the money that finances their misadventures.

Thank you very much for your kind words. In re-reading this piece there seems to be a problem with the flow on the second to the last line. I may revise it sometime.

Their pretentions are obscene.
Neophytes in delusion;
Yes, we're dealing with this exact thing, here in our valley. The town'speople are slowly losing our grip on control of our lands.
Excellent work here Sir,
best of luck,

I have worked with government environmental regulations for the last 23 years. I absolutely detest the little pencil pushing grubs that are afraid of working on real issues and instead rack up penalties for minor errors in paper work because they need to "count beans" for their masters in Washington.
