and nobody knows it but me.
They see a hint of it,
but nobody sees it with clarity.
See, that way I'm safe.
Well safe from others,
but not neccessarily myself.
Maybe that's the importance thats
hidden on the back shelf.

I liked this, I think it's got a good start. It's straight to the point and I'm sure loads of people can relate, I know I can.
