In Your Face Death!

Dedicated to AP's 'Winters Recluse' who wants to be scared!

Halloween was upon us once more,
I lay beside the fire on the floor...

The wind howled down the chimney-breast,
Such an eerie sound on a witches fest..

I could have sworn I saw a face at my window,
Something horrid and non-descript you know..

Each time I looked around me to see,
If the ghoulish figure might be following me...

Still there staring in, eyes evil and red,
Amidst and eerie cold presence felt around my head..

Spooked I decided to sleep through Halloween,
So went upstairs to my bed to dream!

But at the top of the staircase strongly felt,
Something icy cold and creepy made me halt..

I looked behind me to see a dark figure there,
I jumped with fright for it gave me a shocking scare..

It reached out to me with arms beckoning,
Was this to be my night of reckoning?

I ran like hell to my bedroom in fright,
My heart was beating ten to the dozen right..

I was further shocked to find before me,
The figure aside my bed so wizen and ugly..

You are going to die said the faceless figure,
This was no joke so dare not snigger...

The athame blade hurt as it was thrust into my heart,
My living and life ripped clean apart...

I died a sacrifice on a witches altar,
Collected by something resembling the grim reaper..

Demonically evil faces were the last thing I saw,
As I died bleeding on the altar until I fell on my floor...

Ghouls and wizen witches walking werewolves,
Death-like stares with evil evolves..

I woke up cold and heart a racing,
Twas a Halloween dream I had been facing...

But a chilling warning never to be alone on Halloween,
Who knows what might creep up behind you evil and unseen!

Scared to Death!

Dedicated to AP's 'Winters Recluse' who wants to be scared!

Trick or Treat they said,
Treat to eat but trick to dread?

Rumours had spread about a new village resident,
A creepy old recluse with an evil intent...

Strange people would enter and leave her home,
In cars with blackened out windows and reflective chrome...

No one wanted to be their delivery service,
Their very presence left all nervous...

But I was summoned to her house,
As her doctor attending her spouse...

Twas Halloween the night I was called,
I had to go despite fears of being evilly mauled...

The gates swung open almost like those to hell,
There was no need to ring the creepy bell..

The porch light flickering aside the door,
Illuminated the eerie frontage on the moor..

The front door opened I walked inside,
SLAM shut went the door behind me, I nearly died..

A strange and eerie ambiance was all too soon felt,
As creepy black candles on the table before me were a melt..

A figure resembling something unearthly appeared,
A boney high cheek boned man wearing a beard...

Come this way he said leading me away from the hall,
His voice a sickly death like call..

I was shown to a room and told to wait,
My heart was left back at the gate...

Suddenly thirteen people appeared all around me,
Robed and faceless the fear within was just agony...

I was forced to drink some sickly fluid,
The room spun as I fell into the arms of a druid...

I lay helpless on an altar table a human sacrifice to be,
I tried to struggle and battle to save me...

But the blade lowering suddenly plunged fast,
I died bleeding on this Halloween fest...

Or did I?
Did I dream it, why?

I wandered from creepy room to room,
Like an unrested spirit on the roam...

Ghouls and wizen witches walking wearwolves,
Death-like stares with evil evolves..

What might be next in this living nightmare,
Another face to face encounter with a deathly stare?
