Read My Lips

It’s not my first time being hurt,
Definitely not my first fall.
My eyes are always open
And I see it coming at me
Like a cannonball.
Sometimes what I see
Isn’t what I want to believe
And so I turn a blind eye,
I turn the other cheek.

My thoughts aren’t easily changed
After I’ve made up my mind.
I’m as flawed as you are,
We’re all equally fucked up
In my never changing eyes.
Don’t try to change my mind,
You’ll probably fait at that.
I’m sly as a fox,
Independent like a misty-eyes cat

I’m not so great at faking it.
My face and tone
Make it or break it.
I won’t tell you what’s on my
Mind, I’ll be you could
Guess it right.
It’s all written clearly on my face,
I’m a fucked up disgrace.
Don’t try to save me, I swear
You’ll fail of so miserably.
