We passed go on way to passing gas,
with the Parker Brothers
who always try to bore us with their board,
saluted the Boardwalk
where a hotel on a train engine
went to jail
in search of a community chest,
electric company.
Took our hat off to take a chance,
rolling the dice to see
if there was a mortgage hidden
under the bankruptcy bill of twenty dollar bills
that we paid with money
from selling houses
to Atlantic Avenue.
A shoe and dog chased
Park Avenue through
through the Mediterranean,
collection two hundred bucks
before we all had gave a luxury fine
on Baltic Avenue
for free parking.
Marvin Gardens
went to St James Place
over in Tennessee’s pad
so the B & O Railroad
could have a monopoly
as a water works income tax.
