Just above a whisper, in my ear
she hesitantly ask, “Are you in fear?”
Standing against a brick wall
wondering if yet, we are ready to take this fall
“Fret not, sweet, for all is well,” mutter I
knowing, no doubt that it will hold, our alibi
Innocence plays in hands wrung in false apprehension
smiles guile, lashes lowered, misguiding attention
Short dress shadowing smooth legs, hides
devils, two beauties of intelligent disguise
Yonder in woods a torturous affair
death to a boy, his last scream ended there
Blue, red, flash in early mornings hush
dawns golden rays, hint girls cheeky blush
Flirt with men of uniform, desire riding
who’s next life will they be deciding?

Thank you SilverScent for the inspiration from your contest. I couldn't enter due to rules, but writing really isn't about the contest.

sad but interesting . . liked "wrung in false apprehension" and "intelligent disguise" . .

Besides the rhyme, of course, this would have definitely got into the finalist list. It did what I asked for didn't it, explored outside of the image.
I think you had many new ideas in this, my favourite was the comparison of devils and legs in the fifth stanza.
I'm glad you found some inspiration from the image anyway. Thanks for sharing.
