Living In Pink

Missing image
A pleasure trip in sequined pink
a world in soft and fluffy hue,
reality's harsh, don't want to think
the world has really gone askew.

Cotton candy hair looks cute
within a bubble of an oblivious mind,
all senses now in disrepute
reality and fantasy now combined.

What is real ceases to matter
whirling in kaleidescope's wheel,
here or there it's all in tatters
yet life in pink has more appeal.

Play within the dome of bliss
for a short time of satisfaction,
for outside here's where hate exists
and pink is such a wonderful distraction.

Author notes

3. "Trash in Pink" by Ophelias Overdose
I chose this because to me it's the hardest of the three to write about!

Your strict discipline and taste for meter is sensational I enjoyed this poem. More because the way it felt on my tongue there are some poems that do that and this is one of them
