Alone on the streets,
looking for shelter,
hat held out,
eyes that plead,
alone and cold

Belly swollen,
skeletal in appearance
far away and
forgotten
when the channel
is changed,
starvin' and dyin'
cause no one cares
Bruised arms,
soul darkened by
hate and spite,
angry and tired
alone in the fight,
eyes look away
frightened,
'cause no one
cares
Afraid to do what's
right, ashamed
to fight for
the lost, the pain
of the world buried on the
back page of our
memories - it easy
'cause no one cares.
