I've traveled the span of the Boulevard
from the upscaled through less fortunate parts
Mostly o'er the bridge, to walk by the beach;
like when Danny was little, especially in evenings
He would run the sidewalk happily
stopping to play with each parking meter
Sometimes we'd eat in the tourist quarter;
maybe Flanigan's by the water
Once or twice tried to drown some sorrows
at the seaside bar
Always had passed by Constitution Park;
but, like most folks, didn't pay much notice.
So just the other day, I stopped there;
to discover pink blossoms spinning in mid air
Amidst Purple Glory, yellow
Sunshine trees, Flame of the Forest
I found myself in the finest arboretum
I could ever wish to be in!
Natural beauties I'd never seen;
Rainbow Eucalyptus' multicolored bark
A Lipstick tree, in this wonder-filled park,
with deep red seeds in fruit
Screw Pine's aerial stilt roots,
exotic, pineapply fruits.
Then, I found the Asoka tree;
if one sits under it, twas told to me
your worries will be relieved
But to tell the truth
by the time I reached this Asoka,
my worries already felt fewer

It started to rain then,
before I'd finished my tour
Which, for you my reader, is
something to be thankful for
The park holds 300 species
or more, from five continents
If I'd have stayed longer,
this poem would NEVER end.
