The Burden that comes,
With the children of today,
Is trying to be the best,
That they can be.
The peer pressure can be hard,
and the pressure that you,
Give yourself, to be the best,
For you parents, and make,
Them proud of you,
Not only for them,
But for yourself too.
It can really get the better,
of a teen or a pre-teen.
I should know this as,
All I've wanted to do,
All my life,
Is make my mum so proud.
So proud of me ,
And repay her for,
Bringing me up,
Single handed,
All by herself.
We can argue,
We can say we hate,
Each other but really.
We love each other,
And we are proud of,
Each other.
Every child can say,
Their mum is the best.
But my mum went through,
Hell and back for me.
And the pressure I give,
Myself to repay her for that,
Is phenomenal but some day,
I will really make her proud.
So proud she can point & say,
"That's MY daughter & she did this for me."
