If Only Dreams Were Fact

The mind which flourishes in your earthy eyes,
Now feels frozen, almost crystallized
The lust flooding out of your greedy smile with grace
Stops my breath and colors my face
I wish it were me that you were truly looking towards
Not someone behind me, or someone more forward
I know that I cannot be your object of obsession
But what I’d give to be in your heavenly possession
This heart, these eyes, this fair hair
I’d give everything and even more from there.
To caress those broad shoulders and nip at the bud of your lips
I’d find myself a fainting spell in which to slip
Days pass, weeks, not yet a month,
Yet already I pine for your touch
At night a dream would only be bittersweet would it render unto me,
A type of peace that would make me complete,
You, my angel, my nameless melody.
