Missing image
So lonely the sound, late at night
as lone car echoes, out of sight.
A wining hum as it grows near
with a whoosh, passes by my ear.

My homeless home, by water swift
the water breaks on standards stiff.
Movement of water, a soothing sound
lost in thought, where no ones found.

So lovely the moon, cast’s refracted light
in shimmering water, in still of night.
A roof over head, my picture window wide
a wonderful place, for the homeless to reside.

For a short time I was this person too, but my home was a car by the water. This is a wonderful poem. A great take on the picture. I'm really impressed by the creativity! Good luck in the contest!

A perfect depiction of the contemplation on the passing sounds and sights along the overpass bridge along the river. I've had those same thoughts and feelings myself so many times.

Thank you for the comment. In my youth for a time, I was the person in the poem.
