I was offered a glimpse of time
On a dark and lonely road.
I had no way of escaping
There was nowhere for me to go.
So I took the bait and agreed
To see what my future had in store for me.
I saw pain and heartbreak, sadness and doubt
I'm not sure that this what life should be about.
I backed away slowly and turned away and ran
Promising myslef that today was a the day a new life for me began.
