Silently she waits for closure
in a world that now is bleak,
for the love that once she held so dear
is no longer in her keep.

In the darkness that surrounds her
her grief is still so cold,
this love she thought was hers alone
was merely just fool's gold.

Will the light return one day
she wonders as she sits,
as tears flow endlessly from her heart
her life she does submit.

Adjournment of this world she's reached
and peace has finally come,
succumbing ultimately to the end
a mere ghost she's now become.

It is sadness and something a lot of people never seem to get in so many circumstances, closure. You have written this well. Best to you in the contest

A bitter sweet picture you created with this one. It makes me ponder the bigger story that must have led to it. Beautifully done and sadly compelling.
