Always writing about someone I know
Telling about them or their works to show
There is always something unique
About every poet so we can peek
Into their lives and know them more
To anticipate what's in store!
From their wealth of abundance creating
More enjoyment to all making.
Only at first knowing her name
But as her poem in my contest came,
Finding her writing "a breath of fresh air"
As I read she had lots to share!
Gracious and sweet is our "Alice"
Manners that would befit a palace!
Though she sends poems near the last
Everywhere loved, she's a gal of class!

******To be clear, our dear "Alice" often sends her poems in as the last in a contest, as I discovered when judging mine, and it completely astounded me and put me off balance with her talent..Modest poet you deserve praise for not only your writes, but your gracious ways!

Cute poem, adorable picture. I liked the rhyming in the last stanza. This was a nice dedication. Although, my favorite rhyme is in your author's notes:
"Modest poet you deserve praise
For not only your writes, but your gracious ways!" -
Oh, such a cute picture to start this poem off with.. it's adorable with the little kid. I like that you really try to uphold someone's name here and the name of a lot of poets here. We all need to support each other in this community and give others comments and praise just as much as recieve comments and praise. Wonderful job with this prompt and this poem! I really enjoyed reading it even though I don't know this person.

I like it. I am just going to say that in some areas the rhyme seems a little forced. So, it kind of throws off the flow of the overall poem.
I thought that the idea behind it was really cute and unique.
