I see the world afresh,
the new dawn is my cloak,
the sweet grass my eyes.
The faint bird song is my heartbeat.
Truths are unveiled,
prejudices unwritten,
and suddenly my ignorance is revealed to me.
If I could capture this moment, water it,
and let it grow ever stronger...
so I would.
Yet alas it does pass.
MY life is boxed in and standards are set.
I look back to my brief understanding.
